🔵 Opposition Focus: Leicester City

Championship Round 4 | King Power Stadium

📝 Last Game Report

Leicester won 1–0 away at Charlton on August 23. Abdul Fatawu scored a superb strike early in the second half and goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk made several key saves. Charlton had the better volume of chances and a late equaliser was ruled out for a foul. Final stats showed Charlton with 20 shots to Leicester’s 6 and 7–2 on target, but Leicester took the points.

⭐ Key Players

  • Abdul Fatawu – in form after the match-winner at Charlton
  • Jakub Stolarczyk – pivotal last time out with multiple saves and Player of the Match recognition
  • Wilfred Ndidi – defensive screen and ball winner in midfield
  • Conor Coady – leadership and organisation at the back

⚽ Context

Leicester sit on 6 points from their opening three league games and will look to build momentum at home. The Charlton win showed resilience, but they did concede territory and chances, so set-piece and transition moments remain important themes to watch.

🔮 Score and Team Prediction

What is your score and team prediction for the Leicester game? Share your thoughts below 👇

EFL Cup game? What EFL cup game, I don't see any EFL Cup game here....

I think a resolute response after that awful game the other day. Stanno is rumoured to be on crutches. How much of that is true, or mind games being played? It will be an entertaining game.

As I said earlier about the Port Vale game "Let's move on"

Stanno on crutches and wearing protective boot is just precautionary in my opinion.

Leicester have their troubles too, so I believe they are there for the taking, but, to do so will mean we will have to be at our very sharpest.

My Team Pick for this Game...

Allsop,

Osayi-Samuel, Neumann, Klarer, Cochrane

Iwata, Paik

Koumas, Willumsson, Gray

Furuhashi.

Laird and Stansfield and Anderson on the bench

My Prediction

1-1 or 1-2

Having had time now to think objectively on the Leicester game my thoughts on the game are as follows.

Bad things about Blues

1/ First touch football control was not as good as usual.
2/ Mistiming passes to coincide with runs made, or vice versa.
3/ Speed of play fluctuating (Fast out of defense, slow in midfield.)

Good things about Blues

1/ Support play very evident.
2/ Awareness of other players
3/ Keep Right On spirit.

Overall, there was a lot of good things to take out of this game, Opportunities to score were being made, just a little off with the timing and strength of passes, (that will come better as the players become more aware of their teammates attributes).
I felt discipline was an improvement on previous games, even when decisions went against us.
We will improve as the season progresses, and I am optimistic that a very respectable final league position will be attained
