The FA in their wisdom have decided this year to try and stop the time-wasting antics of players, which I commend.
The other ploy that has crept in is players feigning head injury, so the referee has to stop play. To combat this, we could take a leaf out of Rugby Unions laws and introduce HIA (Head Injury Assessment) But under the guise of player safety, make it mandatory for any player undergoing HIA protocol and passing, to stand down the following game.
I'm sure this would stop some of the play acting we endure at the moment.

Any comments?

interesting thought, would you also like to see yellow’s being sent to the sin bin for 10 mins? I’d personally like them to look at stopping the clock rather than the injury time add on - always have a question about it. Maybe a stopwatch counter on screen might be good.

I like the idea of the clock being stopped for breaks in play. (Didn't they try that a few years ago though)
Not a fan of sin bins, if a player has committed a "crime" worthy of being sent from the field of play, then the present system of red carding is sufficient. A foul is a foul, regardless of where it occurs. The only discrimination of the fact should be, if it was dangerous or intentional (Red card) or mistimed/accidental (Yellow card)

Are you suggesting an American style "Time Out"? I can already see football supporters who are already against any American influence be strongly against it. But I agree, instead of the keeper having to fake injury, a break in play would help.
