Morecambe have been suspended and cannot contest their first three games of the season.
I have just read this article...https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c860979gg64o.

I could be way off track but my take from that article is another failure of the EFL's Director and owners Test

Definitely something needs to change but I thought I read a law change had just come in around the suitable owners requirements

It's appalling how these owners manage to infiltrate and take over clubs.

Another club in trouble is Sheffield Wednesday. They are being run by an absolute maniac, determined to sink the club. Currently without a manager, and will be will be fielding a bare-bones squad. Barry Bannan playing every position (if he stays). They haven't been able to pay players and staff either. One stand at Hillsbrough is closed due to it being unsafe, and yet the owner wants $100m for the club. Madness.

Update on Sheffield Wednesday...
They have cancelled their pre season game against Burnley as the players have refused to play due to unpaid wages. (4th month out of five)
Their first game in the 2025/26 Championship season is in doubt v Leicester City
Henrik Pederson was the assistant coach has now been appointed Manager (Poison Chalice of a position if you ask me)

The F A will not accept responsibility. My feeling is the Government need to step in and administer Owner/Director Tests
