The FA in their wisdom have decided this year to try and stop the time-wasting antics of players, which I commend.
The other ploy that has crept in is players feigning head injury, so the referee has to stop play. To combat this, we could take a leaf out of Rugby Unions laws and introduce HIA (Head Injury Assessment) But under the guise of player safety, make it mandatory for any player undergoing HIA protocol and passing, to stand down the following game.
I'm sure this would stop some of the play acting we endure at the moment.
Any comments?
